We want to appeal to all local, national, international governmental or non-governmental bodies and individuals to help the children home in any small or big way as they can.
SCH wish to increase its capacity to accommodate more homeless and needy children but resources are limited. We want to improve the quality of food, clothing and provide as much as facility to our family of babies here, if you could help us in any way it would make a remarkable difference in the lives of these little stars.
If you or your friends can help in any way it will do so much to the lives of these children. You can select one or more of the sponsorship programs we have.
Education:If you would be interested in sponsoring education it will be $313(NRS 21900/-) annually per child. It would help us to admit them in a better school. This includes educational fee, books, school dress and expenses related to school activities and transportation. If you decided to sponsor a child you will be provided with his/her progress review and pictures every three months and you can visit them anytime and communicate with them through letters. It will also be helpful if you can help us with educational materials or volunteer as teachers.Food:We want to increase the intake of eggs, fruits, juices, meat and milk. Nutritious diets are so essential at this age but funds do not allow us to make this regular, sometimes they even get tired of the same diet. If you or your friends could be interested to sponsor for food or at least one item for their diet eg: milk/meat/rice/fruits (it could be anything) the children would be so happy for their tasty meals. For milk/meat or fruits could cost $250 (NRS 17520/-) annually for all children. Rice would cost $313 (NRS21900/-) per Month.Clothing:School is the essential home for our children and we need school dresses for our children. Children need night suits, socks, shoes. Everything wearable is accepted. If you or your friends would like to sponsor for cloths for two sets of clothes plus two sets of school uniform per child per year will cost $72 (NRS 6120/-) annually. This includes shoes, socks, and undergarments too.Stationary:Most of our children are school going children and they need enough stationary and books to support their education. We have hardly arranged books and stationary for our children. If you or your friends would like to sponsor stationary and book to our children than we would be greatful. Education is the light of the life and we want our children to obtain proper education. Stationary and books for all children per year will cost $500 (NRS 42,500/-)Medical Sponsorship:Recently we need a doctor for regular visit at orphanage. The cost will be $200 (NRS 17000/-) monthly. The doctor will be visit twice a week to check children.Festival Sponsorships:Dashain:The pleasant post-monsoon period when the sky is clearest, the air is cleanest and the rice is ready for harvesting, the Nepalese people indulge in the biggest festival of the year, Dashain falls between September/October. Dashain is the longest and the most auspicious festival in the Nepalese annual calendar, celebrated by Nepalese of all caste and creed throughout the country.The fifteen days of celebration occurs during the bright lunar fortnight ending on the day of the full moon. Thorough out Nepal the goddess Durga in all her manifestations are worshiped with innumerable pujas, abundant offerings and thousands of animal sacrifices for the ritual holy bathing,thus drenching the goddess for days in blood. This festival lasts for five days and people worship Laxmi – the Goddess of Wealth. All the houses are cleaned and decorated with the belief that Goddess Laxmi will enter the house that is the cleanest and people lit candles, oil lamps and other lights and the whole place looks illuminating. During the five days, crows, dogs and cows are worshipped and honored with vermilion, garland and delicious food for what they have done in the lives of humans. It can be an idea or a task, but is more likely to be one of the activities or events that have developed over thousands of years specifically for the purpose of keeping an audience's attention. Entertainment is also crucial and necessary things for the development of the child. Children are more prone to approach and interact with another child who is playing. So we ofte take our children to Fun Park, Zoo, Movies and also organiza Visit Program Tourism Sight Seeing, Temple Visit and Picnic. The cost for that program is $1000 (NRS 85000/-).
