Name: Phurba  Sherpa

Phurba Sherpa is daughter of Pasang Kimu Sherpa and Jonbu Sherpa. She was born in 2006/05/27. Her birth place is Kaku VDC 5, Solukhumbu. She is youngest and seventh child of her family. In her family no one has got job and no land for farming too. Because of the remote district, and no job in the family and financial scarcity after the death of her father, in 2008/10/21). Family could not give her proper lodging, food and education. Families economic became very hard for hand to mouth. So in legally she was gave up or hand over to Sagarmatha Children Home in 2009/03/25 by her mother and brother very happily to take care and make her bright future. They have given right to Children Home to send her in inter- country adoption or domestic adoption too, if someone one wants to adopt her. And similarly local development office of Kaku VDC referred her with letter dated 2008/12/07. So she was admitted in an orphanage in 2009/02/11.

Now, she is staying at same orphanage and studying at St. Jon’s English School, Katunje, Bhaktpur in S.K.G. grade. She is intelligent, laborious and disciplined child. She is very helpful child, teaches her friends what she knows. Her health is not so much good. She can’t bear cold and hot and maximum suffers from pneumonia. She is interested to dancing, singing and watching movies. Her aim is to be a nurse in future. Being a nurse she wants to treatment poor person without taking fees.
